Happy 4th of July

”I pledge allegiance to the popsicle-er, flag-of the United States of America….”

Hey, there, my friends! Happy Independence Day to my American readers (which is most of you, hehe). I hope you all have a fun and popsicle filled day, and kindly don’t do anything stupid with the fireworks (please don’t be like me and try to twirl a sparkler like a baton-it doesn’t work).

Anyway, I took some pictures of Alex with a Bomb-Pop out in the heat that I thought I’d post. Enjoy!

DSCF0216The Popsicle in question. It’s Play-Doh, actually, I just molded it in one of my doll glasses and stuck a stick in it.

It’s not quite so cute up close…I wasn’t really aiming for perfection, I suppose.

DSCF0215The only red doll clothes I had consisted of a padded red vest, a sparkly and over-the-top jazz costume, and a pair of off-brand red doll flats that stained Delilah’s foot at one point. So I made do with a red ribbon/belt. I actually did the same thing myself, but I added a fedora (which subsequently made me, with my red hair and glasses, look like nerdy Anne of Green Gables…)DSCF0213

Alex is soooooo pretty. Her hair is so fun to play with, I’ve been meaning to try french braids.

DSCF0226Popsicles sound good right now…N

This frozen treat was not my best work…I’d like to try again, though.

It gives the idea of a popsicle, at least.DSCF0243

One of my favorite pictures, ever. Alex is so freakin’ cute!!

I love the Jess Mold. It has such a mischevious, impish look to it.

Happy 4th Of July to you all from Alex!DSCF0238

And don’t forget to eat lots of popsicles.

    1. Thank you, AGsInAlaska, and ditto that to you! Aww, thanks, I think I’ll try again and make sure it doesn’t have any cracks or folds.
I had brisket, potato salad, and zucchini. And then we had pineapple and ice cream for dessert. What did you have?

      1. You’re welcome! That all sounds delicious. My dad wanted to make brisket, but we’re doing hamburgers instead. Along with corn on the cob, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, key lime pie, peach cobbler, and vanilla ice cream. I made almost all of it by myself. πŸ™‚ We haven’t eaten yet, though! It’s only 6:30 here.

      2. Oooh, yum! Hamburgers are great, to-we did brisket because I can’t have gluten and hamburgers are not much fun without the bun. Woah, you made all of that?? That’s amazing, girl! I made the pineapple (I just had to slice it and grill it), actually, but it was a little anticlimactic.

      3. My mom eats them without the bun all the time, and it sure doesn’t look fun! Well, my grandma made the pasta salad and my brother did the hamburger patties, but yes, I did all the rest. The pineapple sounds good!

  1. Happy Independence Day! I hope you had a nice holiday and that, enjoying yourself with your dolls! I am from England but it won’t be long until we have an Independence Day (stupid Brexit). Anyways, keep eating popsicles (don’t get unhealthy though) and enjoy yourself!

    1. I did, thank you so much! Aww, that’s too bad, but you are always welcome to be American for a day and celebrate with us! I will, haha, and don’t worry even popsicles get old after a while, although I’m sure Alex would beg to differ.

  2. Ooh, that popsicle turned out great! I love the photos! I didn’t do anything super crazy, well except for ride on a golf cart super fast at 10 at night. XD
