Spring Is Just Around The Corner

Hello, dear readers!

After a long period of bare-minimum activity on TAGS, I’m working hard to get back into a steady posting schedule. I’ve missed doll blogging so much, and I’m so excited to get back to it!

I’ve noticed that in recent months there’s been a huge decline in the number of doll blogs and doll posts. Emma wrote a great and very honest post about this, which I definitely recommend checking out.

I think one of the main reasons that so many blogs are languishing is because a lot of wonderful doll bloggers entered junior high and high school this fall, and just that alone takes a lot out of a person.

I have a feeling that several blogs are most likely going to ‘go dark’ or say goodbye, and that’s sad. But new bloggers are always joining the crowd, and rest assured that despite my infrequent posting, I’m not going anywhere (except maybe to bed once I finish this post).

As the weather warms up and it becomes peak outdoor photography season (spring, Natalie, you mean spring), I want to try and make a fresh start with the new season. Plants start growing everywhere, and I’m going to try and grow this little corner of the internet into something that will blossom and become more noticeable.

I’m working on balancing the quality and quantity of my posts, and making my doll’s personalities a little more ‘real’ and unique.

I’ve decided to let go of a rigid posting schedule, and just post 4-5 times a month, about once a week. This way I’m not on any time crunch, and my posts will have an element of surprise, hehe.

So, here’s to spring, new blogging beginnings, and chocolate. Because chocolate is amazing.

Have a wonderful day, wherever you are!

What’s the weather like where you live? Springish at all?

  1. ❤ I want to get back to doll blogging, but I too started junior high (7th) in the fall which I'm still adjusting too. It's still not spring-like, but we got snow today and we're getting some Sunday night/Monday. As much as I love snow, I'm ready for spring to come. The problem with blogging is, I already have a consistent (main) blog, two collab blogs (one is sort of free-to-post, one we post 1-2 times a month), and a doll blog. So… I loved the photoshoot as well. ❤

    1. Me, too! I’m in 7th/8th (these things are never exact in homeschooling, especially when you take high school history, 7th grade math, 8th grade writing…..). We got some snow, too, but then we got rain and it all got washed away, I’m pretty tired of snow by now!
      Thank you so much 🙂

      1. Wow, those are very diverse courses, haha. I take the reguar 7th grade except at my school I’m in math honors (I want to be in regular math next year, you have to get 82 or below, but if it’s 83-85 as your average, you can pick. 😀

  2. These photos are awesome girl! Michelle looks super cute, heck that one horror story(I forgot what exactly you called it, but where those kids tore off her wig) might have been a good thing! I’m loving her look.
I feel like there are a lot less AG bloggers out there. I don’t know, AG just was never a permanent thing for me. Build a Bears were I guess, so I just decided to switch topics. I like that you are continuing to blog about AG.

    1. Ahh, thank you! Haha, I was actually thinking just that the other day-but just the same, I’m still guarding my dollhouse whenever small children are around. I think AG dolls for me are like BABs are for you, and I love, love, love your blog. It’s so awesome and unique, and I hope you never stop blogging there.

      1. Thank you! You’re so sweet! I’m obviously grateful to have blogged about AG(I wouldn’t have met other bloggers like you if not!), but it’s just too much stress for me to post reguarly. I never want to stop blogging on BABF. You know my secret summer project? I might even do it next year(if this years does well). I really do get joy from blogging, and it seems you do too. You really made my day!

  3. Not springish in the slightest – it’s still snowing 😭 But aw although I find dolls super creepy it’s still sad when bloggers leave. If you even think about leaving, I’ll file a lawsuit for causing someone else mental health issues – just saying. great posy!!

  4. These photos are beautiful, Natalie. 🙂 I thought I should let you know that the link to Emma’s blog doesn’t work. Also I will never leave the doll blogger community, so you don’t have to worry, but it’s frustrating that doll bloggers are leaving…though Jessica at American Girl Fan did stop blogging, she did not give up dolls, and is posting photos on her Instagram, so some doll bloggers that leave blogging don’t leave dolls.

    1. Thank you so much, Quinley! Oops, I’ll fix that asap. Thanks for the heads up! Ah, I’m so glad to hear that! I love your blog and your dolls. I was really sad when Jessica left, but I’m glad she still posts on IG. I really enjoy blogs more than IG, since you can say so much more. Although I must admit that IG accounts often have the prettiest photography, lol.

  5. I totally feel the same way. I’ve felt horrible not posting for a month or two, but that’s because my grandma died and now I need to catch up on my school. I’m so glade you’re back!

  6. I kind of feel the same way, I follow a lot of AG blogs, but I feel like I don’t see to many AG dolls! 😦 I was never a doll blogger, but I want to do a couple of AG blog post. And I love the pictures! ❤️ My grass looks the same way 24/7😂
