If your doll is in need of some TLC, needs a minor repair, or wants a change of looks, I can help!
Chesapeake Doll Spa provides inexpensive repairs, restorations, and customizations for your American Girl Doll. I can restore a doll to her former glory, or completely change her appearance for a minimum cost.
Get in touch with me at my Contact Page!
Some examples of my work:

My Services:
- Wig swapping: $15 to remove an old wig and glue down a new one (normally you provide a wig, but I’m also happy to purchase one for you for a commission)
- Skin cleaning: $10 for a basic cleanse, dirt and stains removed (not all stains come off, but most will), free with any other service.
- Hair detangled and/or styled: Depends on the doll, but starts at $12. I can curl, straighten, or add highlights to your doll’s existing wig.
- Limb tightening/reattachment: $10 for tightening, $15 to reattach limbs.
- Face paint: $8 per service-freckles, lip paint, or blush.
To send your doll to me, email me using my contact page, and I’ll give you a price quote. Next, I’ll make an Etsy listing for you detailing your services, and you’ll ship your doll(s) to me. I charge whatever your post office charged you to mail your dolls.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or leave a comment!
This sounds totally awesome! I hope I can do it sometime, and I might have you glue down Isabel’s wig or fix up Ashton!

Oooh, I could totally do that! What kind of work does Ashton need?

I’ll have to check with my parents first, but if I do have you do it he’d need skin cleaning, the remains of his wig removed, and restringed limbs (I already tightened them, which helped slightly), and then his wig glued on!

Awesome! Yeah, me too! I’m considering selling him, so I want to get him fixed up before I give him away/sell him. 🙂

Also, are the services free? The notice says ‘Now Accepting Dolls for Free’ but there’s a pricing list…

Oh, haha, sorry about the confusion-yes, I am accepting dolls for free until February, the pricing is just there for when I take that notice away. So yes, it’s free 🙂

Okay, so here’s the thing–I have no idea when this will happen, but my friend is moving, so she plans to give me her Caroline doll. I want to change her wig myself (which she needs really badly), but if she needs her face paint restored, I’m too scared to try it on her. Also, I might–I haven’t decided yet, but I might–want to switch out her eyes, which I’m also too scared to try on her. So basically, I’m asking, how much would face paint touch-up be, and do you do eyeswaps? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Kirstyn!
Ooooh, that’s so exciting! Caroline is such a pretty doll. A face paint touch up would be $10+shipping. I don’t currently do eyeswaps unfortunately (I’m working on learning though).
Thanks for your interest!

Okay, cool, thanks! Now I just have to save for her wig, which could take awhile, lol. Especially if I decide I want one from Beautifully Custom–some of hers are really expensive.

Try checking eBay or Exquisite Doll Designs-Beautifully Custom wigs are way overpriced, albeit very pretty. Good luck!
